Ablaze 2020 - Listen to the Spirit
In 2020, Catholic Education Sandhurst in partnership with Sandhurst Youth Ministry and FRG Ministry has brought the experience of the Ablaze events virtually to primary and secondary schools.
Established in 2018, the Ablaze Youth Festival provides an opportunity for young people to come together and celebrate their faith through music and conversation.
This year Ablaze has become a music festival with a difference and the virtual format is providing an opportunity for the Ablaze concert to be experienced over and over again!
Ablaze includes a wide range of speakers and perspectives, performances from Fr Rob Galea and his band together with opportunities to pray together - all reflecting on this year’s diocesan theme “Listen to what the Spirit is saying.” The theme reminds students and staff to stop and listen to what God might be trying to say to them in their lives.
The first year of Ablaze was only for secondary students; however, the success of the program saw it expand to include primary performances last year. The Ablaze videos have been designed to provide the best content for each of the two school settings, primary and secondary.
